Dr Hwa Yung is Bishop Emeritus of The Methodist Church in Malaysia. He has served as a pastor and a Principal of Malaysia Theological Seminary (STM). He also taught at Trinity Theological College, Singapore for three years. His wider ministry includes serving on the Trustees' Council of the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and the International Board of the Lausanne Movement. He was also previously President of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. His writings are primarily in the field of contextual Asian theology and missions.
